But I do know that it is possible to fight like cats and dogs as kids and grow up to be best friends. All 6 of us fought like crazy...constantly. And sometimes we still fight. But we&#39;re grown-ups and it&#39;s awesome being friends now. The relationship that surprises me most is the one I have with my sister Ellen. She despised me, I think from the time I was born. But somehow we became friends--I&#39;m still not sure how--and I would be totally lost without her now. Our family grew up super close, creating lots of great memories along the way. I too mourn the distant relationship I have with a couple of my siblings in our adulthood.
