My husband LOVES Indian food. And I love SOME Indian food. Overly spicy yellow curries are not for me, but what IS for me is Chicken Tikka Masala. Oh man...it is GOOD! You could make this with any protein and maybe even with....gulp...tofu?
I wanted to share the recipe here since it's a great starter recipe to get to know Indian food and flavors since it's not too strong or unusual in taste. Our kids LOVE this stuff. We had it this past week for Matt's birthday dinner. Even baby Bianca ate two helpings and smacked her little lips...a lot.
Note: Garam Masala is an Indian spice which can be found in the regular spice section of most grocery stores. It is pure magic.

Hi Emily:
Thanks so much for sharing this recipe. Do you think ground ginger would work in place of the grated? If so, would you use less?
I don't normally use ginger for anything but sweets, but I'm branching out!
Thanks,
Tamara
I'm so going to try this. Question: So you should marinate it no longer than 30 minutes? The overnight part confused me....
This looks yummy. I've been making a slow cooker curry that we like, but what really makes it heaven is making naan to go with! P.S. I like your playlist.
The Mrs. - SORRY! Typo! That should read "for at least 30 minutes and no longer THAN overnight".
Tamara - I never use ginger either! Except in this recipe :) I would try googling it.
