Recipes That Rock: Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie

Since today is March 14 (aka 3.14) it is National Pi Day and National Pie Day.
We are having a sweet pie party this evening with two families we love and plenty of pie.

One pie that I am famous for (but cannot take credit for since it's my Mom's recipe) is our Chocolate Peanut Butter pie. Mmmmm...chocolate. So I though I would share it with you in honor of this fine day.

CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER PIE

2&1/2 c. whole milk
1 pt. whipping cream
2 pkg. chocolate instant pudding
1/4 c. powdered sugar
4 T. peanut butter
9” cooked pie shell cooked or graham cracker crust

1. With a whisk or electric mixer beat milk, ½ c. whipping cream and pudding.
2. Make pb crumbs by combining powdered sugar and peanut butter until crumbles form. Spread 1/3 of crumb mixture into bottom of pie shell.
3. Pour mixed filling over crumbs to fill crust.
4. Add another third of the crumbs on top of pudding mixture.
5. Whip remaining cream with 2 Tbs. sugar until firm. Top pie with whipped cream.
6. Sprinkle remaining crumbs on top of whipped cream layer and refrigerate for 2 hours until pudding is set.

Sorry I have no photo.
I promise I'll upload one sometime in the future.
