Pie Day FUN!!

All in all we had 20 people (8 adults and 12 kids) over tonight. Eating pie, playing hide n' seek, hooting and hollering at football games, talking about good local Doctors and much much more.

And, as is the case with most parties, it's not really about the pie.
It's so much more about the friends.

But, I mean, c'mon....let's not forget the pies either.

Does anyone else kind of love the chaos and noise that comes from a large gathering of people with small kids and good food? I love it. It makes me feel all at home and warm.

Everyone's pies were delightful (ours were still overly warm and kind of smooshy, but still good), but I think no one attending would take offense if I stated that the super-stah of the night was the Turtle Pie made by Amber. She has promised to share the recipe and then I will share with you.

I think it's clear that America needs more National holidays
based on dessert categories.

Am I right?

Looks like a blast! How do you even find out that it's National Pi/pie day?
Those pies look insanely delicious and I wish I could have tried every single one.
