This year's Oscar Red Carpet was an interesting one.
Filled with a lot of bad looks and a lot of great looks...not much in between.
Let's get rolling...
DUD
Girl, NO! What is that growth on your dress?
She is naturally gorgeous, but Zoe hit my
worst dressed with this purple nightmare.
Faith Hill makes an unfortunate choice with this
oddly cut-out gown lined with lace.
The horizontal cut-out with the vertical cut-out and
all of the other layers make this dress a total miss.
Does Charlize's dress remind anyone else of a certain
famous Rolling Stones cover with Janet Jackson?
The cut-outs over the breast draw focus to the chest and nowhere else.
Bad choices by regularly fashionable stars feels like a sort of betrayal.
Maggie looks under-dressed in this vaguely tie-dyed dress and
the harsh competing color tones are hard on the eyes.
Awful. Maggie, how could you?
This dress makes the lovely Meryl looks both fuddy and duddy!
It's matronly and unflattering.
DIVINE
Meryl, THIS is how you do age-appropriate, but still current.
Helen chose a look that was classic, sophisticated and chic.
Finally! Tina has made serious strides in fashion
with this modern print which shows of her body and is chic,
while still lending a touch of interest. Bravo!
Elizabeth looks gorgeous and feminine in this dress.
The hair and make-up are flawless as
were the jewelry and accessories.
Elizabeth has stumbled in the past, but this gets an A+ from me.
I normally don't like gowns at award shows which
are too haute coutour. But this dress manages to amp
up the drama without going over the line to ridiculous.
The minimal hair and make-up was the perfect choice.
J-Lo rocks this look.
I wasn't a fan of Sandra's Golden Globes look,
but I can forgive her because she made the perfect
choice with her Oscar look.
A well-fitted dress that is elegant and memorable, great hair
and jewels and those trendy red lips are perfection.
She looked like the winner she was.

I love that Sandra was one of the best last night! She is one of my fav actresses and am thrilled that she did so well.
I hated Zoe's dress, too! And did you see the shoes she wore with it? Horrid!
ummm Did you not see sarah jessica parker's hair? It was like fly away city. not bueno. But I'm lovin the j-lo dress
I vote to move J-Lo to the Dud section. All I could think of was bubble wrap . . . J-Lo in bubble wrap.
Sandra was perfect. The gown, the hair, the lip color, the husband, the speech. Loved it all.
first thing to check today :)
I thought about your review while I was watching the Oscars. :) I swear I'm not a stalker, haha.
I actually liked Meryl's outfit. That picture isn't flattering...but it seemed to move well on her and was age appropriate. And Chris March designed it. I love Chris March. :)
when i first saw zoe's dress i only saw it from the waist up and thought, "ooohhh, pretty!" then i saw the paper-mache skirt and changed my mind.
rose boobs? no.
i thought elizabeth looked great, but i really LOVED the way she looked when she hosted the technical awards.
sandra bullock was not only the best dressed but she also had the best acceptance speech. perfect.
p.s. in the words of my friend, mandy, 'why was barbra streisand wearing a lacey sacrament tablecloth around her
neck?' classic.
