It looked like this...

She pointed out Ella, Daddy and herself. "But, Where's Mommy?" I asked.
She grabbed a crayon and got back to work. And this was added to the picture...

"Is that Mommy?" I asked.
"No, that a fish for Ella in a bowl." she replied.
"So....there's an imaginary fish, but NO Mommy?" I asked and then added, "If it's a picture of your family....so you should draw Mommy!"
She grabbed a crayon and got back to work. And this was added to the picture...

Finally I was included!
"Oh, there's Mommy! And I'm all green!" I exclaimed.
To which she replied, "No, that's not Mommy! That's a balloon for the fish."
And I left it at that.
Mommies get no respect!
We all laughed until our cheeks hurt.
Just another touching FHE moment brought to you by the Ahern family.

So cute!! What a great memory! :)
Such an awesome pic and story.
maybe she meant that mommy is always there so why should I draw her? =)
hilarious! love these kid conversations :)
Ohhhhhhh! We also did your fabulous lesson #3 last night, and I was sad to see what my 4 yr old drew...and embarrassed: Three angry stick figures, of himself. :( I kept asking him why he was angry and got various, hilarious answers "I didn't get a candy"...sad!
Anyways, we loved your lesson and activities! THanks, again! :)
are you dying a little inside over this? i know i would be. but man is it funny.
