In the morning, I had the girls over for a Mixed Craft Day.
Cassie made the most adorable homemade Christmas cards.

Amber cut out felt for a nativity scene.

Jenny made this adorable flannel dinosaur (with NO pattern!)

and I completed a Family Night chart (there is a black and white head shot of each member of our family which can be velcro-ed to rotating spots as responsibilities change) and started on my December Craft.

During all of this crafting we had the very first snow. And it was the most beautiful snow ever. Large, fluffy flakes drifted in little swirling patterns and covered our deck and back yard with a gossamer blanket of white. Ella and Evangeline were bundled up in no time and out to play.

After the crafters went home, we started in on dinner and Jenny dropped of her kids to be watched while her and her hubster celebrated their 6th anniversary. The missionaries arrived for their birthday dinner.
Moments into their arrival, little Todd pooed his pants. Then we headed into cleanup mode. I tackled the downstairs bathroom (the scene of the accident) and cleaning up his clothes while Matt carried him upstairs to our full bathroom, hosed him down in the shower and then washed his legs and backside. Then we met back downstairs where we sprayed air freshener, vigorously washed hands, changed Todd into clean underwear and put on his pajamas. Then the salmon thermometer dinged, we plated our food and started dinner. Whew!
We finished our meal with a hearty nround of the Happy Birthday song with our homemade cheesecake and strawberry sauce, but could not find any candles so Elder A got to blow out a votive! That's worth 20 regular sized birthday candles...right? LOL!

Then we all visited and played. And Todd asked to have his hair done. Warning: If I babysit your kids for free, the price you pay may be the emasculation of your little boy. I'm just sayin'.

Truly, it was a fantastic day and I had loads of fun. Don't get me wrong, I like a lazy weekend as much as the next Mommy, but I often really enjoy these busy Saturdays where I accomplish a lot, spend time with friends, make a missionary's birthday fun and sometimes, I even get to touch toddler poo.

You're SO NICE. I would've probably said no to the baby-sitting with everything else that was going on...and I cannot handle other kids' poo. You're NICE. Looks like a crazy day! Can't believe you had snow after having your A/C on earlier this week. Nuts.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
And poor Toddina...
That pink bow is the BEST!
Looks like you girls had a blast.
