Nerd Confession #6...Pop Culture Addict

I know way too much about celebrities.
The gossip, the relationships, the drama.
I know what crazy names they give their babies.
I know what everyone wore to the last awards show.
I love watching the red carpet coverage on the E! channel.

You know when they host the World Series of Pop Culture on VH1?
I could smoke those contestants.
I sit in my Living Room, screaming at the television,
"MR. PIBB and REDVINES = crazy delicious!
...you FOOLS!!!"

This obsession makes me really good at the game Trivial Persuit. I credit it mostly to the fact that I spent the majority of my formative years glued to a television set while my adolescent peers breathed fresh air and exercised. And no matter what people tell you, television, even crappy television, is very helpful in the game of Trivial Pursuit.

Like the time I was faced with the tie breaker question:
"What is the full name of the Frog who is the new mascot of the WB network?"
To which I screamed without hesitation...MICHIGAN J. FROG!!!
For the win.

you'd could give my husband a run for his money! he has a brain cluttered with 'useless' knowledge and tv trivia. i quizzed him to see if he knew the full name of the wb frog and he responded "something j. frog"---so close!

oh my gosh, i LOVE the world series of pop culture! where has it been? i've missed it!

i'm kind of a useless knowledge magnet too. sometimes it's hard though when you have to pretend to not know TOO much. you know, so you don't look obsessed or crazy. that happens a lot . . .

Yep. I remember that win. Kind of sucked for me. But you've got more than just pop culture knowledge at your disposal when you play. You had to know something to get all the other pie pieces.

You're hilarious! Note to self: don't play Trivial Pursuit with Emilie...maybe Scrabble, though. At least Rob would have a chance at that game...

Love this story. So funny.

I know the Mr. Pibb line. Maybe I know a little pop culture too!
