We are still battling various illnesses her in the Ahern home. Our Doctor assures us this is normal for a family who has moved so far across the country.New Coastline = New Germs.
I have finished with my cold and have moved on to a very sore throat. For which I am taking Luden's Throat Drops.
And I have a distinct memory of eating these out of my Granny's purse when I was little. I am pretty sure Luden's has been selling ordinary candy disguised as cough drops since 1879.
I also tried this last night since it was on a super sale and was cheaper than even generic cough syrup at our grocery store. Tylenol Cough & Sore Throat Nighttime with Honey Lemon Warming Liquid. And Tylenol is a name you can trust....right? Wrong. It is so totally weird. It warms your throat (and tongue and cheeks) and that produces a pretty gross and creepy sensation.
But on to more exciting things. In our church the children attend classes sorted by age group starting when they are three years old. Starting to attend Primary is a big deal in their lives. And today marked Ella's first week in Primary. She is in the youngest class, called Sunbeams. Of course, I took a camera and of course, she gave me this delightful look to cherish in a photo album for the rest of time. Matt captioned this one "Too Cool for School" (Sunday School that is).

And she did pretty well. I teach an older class in primary so I got to observe her and besides a bit of bum-dancing in her chair, she was mostly well behaved. Here's one more picture from today. Notice all of the other children riveted on the speaker and the one little child on the front row looking in the opposite direction. That's my girl!

awwww I love those *real* moments that you captured! :)
Blech, i hate those nasty cold syrups. I usually take generic nyquil only as a last resort. Id rather suck down hot tea and cough drops. Hope you all start feeling better soon!
Get well soon Ahern's! We were having one of those winters too, and we didnt even move.
LOL I love how all the kids are looked at the teacher, but not our sweet little Ella!
I also love that you took your camera to Church this day!
love the last pic...i would think that if she were to be distracted perhaps it would be by you, but shes not. thats awesome =D
I love photos so much more when they truly reflect the situation.
So yours are perfect.
Hope the sickness ends soon!
Love those pics of Ella in Primary. It is always fun and nerve wracking at the same time when your child starts Primary. It is so fun for them, once they get the hang of things!
I hope that you start to feel better soon!
