The Living Room looks like this...

And in more moving news....Yesterday we spent hundreds of dollars on groceries. And weirdly, this is the only stuff in the fridge. Where did the money all go?

Our current dishware...

Last night's nutritious dinner...

The girls have taken to playing underneath my workspace. I'm not gunna lie...I think it's pretty cute.

But a lot of fun and exciting things are happening as well. Now, I'm not gunna say that money buys happiness. But seriously, it doesn't hurt. This is my new and fabulous 22" flat screen monitor. Delicious! It is especially delightful for the extra space it provides in Photoshop.

And this is my brand new, large capacity photo printer. Can't wait to get that set up and rockin'!

Plus, yesterday I found these little gems at the Target Dollar Spot and they are making me giddy right now. Very cute pink polka-dotted and blue striped chipboard alphas. When I find something like this for a buck I get this euphoric feeling like I have a winning lottery ticket. And I get a little thrill every time I use them. Of course I bought two sets for me and and extra set for my girlfriend Heidi.

I wish I could paper scrap today, but this apartment is completely out of control (as seen in photo #1) and so I am restricting myself to digital. However, I am using this brand new ECOLOGIE line by PAISLEE PRESS DIGITAL and that is always a thrill. Here's yesterdays blue tongue photo digi scrapped with this new kit. One thing that rocks about digi? I used the eye dropper tool in Photoshop to perfectly match the color of Evangeline's tongue and then dropped that color into the striped patterned paper. (products available at oscraps.com at the end of this week)

And lastly...Today we go and get our new Delaware Drivers Licences. And, just in case you were wondering, my usual pastey white skin has been replaced with the pigment of a Jamaican Goddess thanks to my very favorite self tanner, Loreal Sublime Gelee. Vain? Yes. But listen, Driver Licence photos last a long time and they get seen quite a lot. I'm just sayin'.

I love all of these photos and how you showed what it's really like to move in a new place. LOL the first I did was buy paper plates and cups so I didn't have to add dishes to the BIG OL" MESS!
PS I'm loving that chipboard from target! I can't believe that was only a $1
I love the layout and that you matched it exactly to the blue on her tongue, that's hilarious. :) And I'm with you on the Driver's License thing. Just beware of too shiny of lip gloss. The last time I went I put on what I thought was a gorgeous amount of lip gloss because I was determined to look good in that picture...and instead I looked like a shiny botox mess. Yowza... :) I'll have to try that self tanner, sounds great!
love the new monitor, you're gonna LOVE it!
I think we ate pizza for about a week and a half when we moved in a month and a half ago. No lie.
I'm feelin ya on the computer screen! I have a little laptop, and was always cool with it- till I started using my brother THIRTY INCH mac! Now he's booted me off his mac, and I'm like dang.... i should've never went mac cause now I don't wanna go back!
I came across your blog (a link from someone else . . . can't remember who!) not too long ago and find I keep popping in more and more, so I thought I'd say "hi". :) I love your work, and your daughters are adorable! I spent my high school/college years in Cache Valley, so I loved looking back to your older posts with pics from Logan! I am totally suffering from overwhelmed paralysis right now, which is why I'm on the computer. Ack. Love your blog!
great photos Emilie! Love the digi layout too - that tongue sure is blue!
btw - I have given you an award.....go to my blog for the rules!
Emilie, can't tell you how much I love this photo. The digi LO is awesome too...By the way, just picked up a copy of the Memory Makers mag with your LO on the cover from a bookshop here in freezing wintery Melbourne, Australia. Your happy smile and bright cheerful layout warmed my day! Thanks!
Anita Meade.
You're a girl after my own heart.....I'm so in agreement about the driver's license. When I recently lost weight...to my astonishment one day I realized my "NEW, REAL WEIGHT" was less than my "lie" weight on my driver's license! So I told hubs I was going to get a new license PRONTO and I did!
(never mind we had lived in KS for almost 18 months at that time...so it wasn't a priority to me until I noticed the weight thing! Ha ha!
And I always fix my hair and makeup before going to the DMV! LOL!
Since I travel to all the CKC's...people see my license A LOT!
It's important, I'll tell you!
:) Roxann
You're hecka funny! Good luck with the house...at least you're not putting off what's important...doing what keeps you sane...scrapbooking!!
Now...here's the great coincidence...I bought those chipboard letters at Target the other day, too! Too great a deal to pass up. I should post the page that I already made with them. It turned out pretty great!
